Finally checked this place out on the weekend. It's located on Woodbine, east side, north of Highway 7. It's hard to see it from Woodbine, but it's in a strip mall next to Wendy's/Tim Hortons. Please don't ask me why it's called Royal Teahouse when it looks nothing like a teahouse and is actually a dim sum specialty restaurant.
We went on Sunday after church, arrived at 1:30-1:45ish but the place was still packed. We didn't get seated (4 of us) until about 2:10-2:15. It's order off the menu style. I was surprised that the menu was fairly small, only about 40-50 items. 10 of which were desserts.
Anyways, food came in a timely manner, everything was above average. We definately enjoyed most of the dishes except the grilled squid and sui mei were nothing to write home about. Particulariy good was the BBQ Pork Pastry (not the bun, which was good though!), Chicken Sticky Rice and the Taro Spring Rolls. Our bill ended up being about $45 for the 4 of us, but all of us were stuffed silly.
