Yesterday we stopped for lunch at Magnolia Cafe on Canton St in Roswell. It is on the right in the first block north of the split from Roswell Road. My wife had eaten lunch there a few months ago, but it was new to my daughter and me.

Service was spotty, food was very good. I had chicken enchiladas with green tomatillo salsa, and my wife and daughter split an order of chicken quesadillas. My daughter drank fresh lemonade and I had iced tea. For dessert, we split apple crumb pie with cinnamon ice cream between the three of us.

The enchiladas and quesadillas were made by a young lady from Acapulco and were excellent. They were also quite different from the Sonoran cooking I was exposed to in New Mexico during my youth. The dessert was a favorite with all three of us - and that consensus is rare.

The check came to $29.93 for the above items.
