Read about Rosewater yonks ago on this board, and finally last week managed to get there for dinner. Went with two friends and we shared all.
favorite were the salads - it's great to find really good salads - especially with real greens, such as watercress, arugula, etc. It reminded me of one of my all time fav salads from Nick's in Forest Hills.
We had two salads, one with honey tahini dressing, the other was a fatoush salad with a vinaigrette with Prince Edward Island Mussels and other stuff (cann't remember what - was too busy enjoying)
I had the Spiced covered tuna -asked for it seared rare and it was perfect and delicious - although the bulghur under it was too dry for my taste - my only complaint about the whole meal. The cornbread and tin the bread basket were also wonderful.
My friend had the lamb over cous cous - delicious rare slices of lamb with gyro type seasonings - but elevated to new levels. Her mom went for the safe choice - monk fish with a tomato nectarine salsa - very good delicate flavor - tho the salsa was really just wedges of tomato and nectarine - a pleasant summer dish. Dessert was stone fruit salad with creme freche and a chocolate something or other - I was too full and happy by that point.
I am still dreaming about the salads - I may go and do take out for some yummy greens...
