hi all, recently went to the lincoln center branch of this hi-end mexican restaurant and came away very impressed.

the prices arent cheap 18-30 for a main course but considering the quality of the food, well worth it. the evening begins with the a tableside gaucomole presentation that asimov says is the best in town, but i dont think thats saying much. had a main course of short ribs which was cooked 'perfectly'- ive never had better. the service was excellent to the point of recommending what not to order on the menu. they also have a fine selection of tequilas which i enjoyed.

overall for 40-50 dollars a person i think this is one of the better restaurants in town in that price range.

anyone have other recommendations for gourmet mexican? ive heard mixed things about hell's kitchen.......
