As I was hustling my way down Wabash in the loop yesterday I passed by the culinary arts school near Lake and Wabash by the Mrs. Fields. I stopped to watch the students prepping and began to peruse the menu of the Backstage Bistro which appears to be their restaurant ala CHIC's student run restaurant. Very eclectic menu but quite interesting - venison loin, sturgeon and southern fried quail being among their offerings. If I recall correctly no entree above $19 and many in the $10-15 range. Then I saw it - tourenados of kangaroo with red cabbage and I think spaetzle. Being one who will taste just about anything once (occasionally to the horror of my wife) I was/am quite intrigued. Has anyone dined at this establishment and/or has anyone ever dined on roo? If so, I would appreciate if you could share your experience (either one).
