Hello - My husband and I, and our 7 year old will be in Rome for 3 days. I have reservations at several locations but a few meals we can't decide on. Our kid is super easy going and loves food. He does really well in restaurants and is super excited for pasta and gelato. We are coming from California so we will be up late and getting up late in the morning due to time change. Any advice is greatly appreciated:
Thurs 4/20 - Land at 2:30, staying at Palazzo Navona Hotel. Plan to grab a quick bite around the hotel (Pizza Zaza and Sant Eustachio il Caffe around the corner, probably will go there) We plan to rest and then hit the Pantheon, Trevi, maybe Spanish Steps this day.
Dinner - Reservations at Armando Al Pantheon 9pm
Gelateria Valentino near Trevi
Fri 4/21 - Was advised this is Rome's Birthday celebration, our plan is to go to Colosseum in the afternoon and just get lost in the city. Hoping to see the fireworks or other cultural events this day.
Lunch - ? Not sure, was thinking of going to Mercado Central before Colosseum, also possibly Pizza Emma, but we have pizza plans Sat.
Fatamorgana for gelato
Dinner - Roscioli - have 9:30 reservation
Saturday 4/22 - This is Vatican Day, we have tickets for 2pm at museum.
Lunch - Bosci Pizzarium -- Or other pizza places near vatican you would recommend?
Gelateria del Teatro
Dinner - Pianoestrada, 8:30 reservation
Sunday 4/23
Lunch? - I have no plans this day and would love some advice.
We leave for a cruise in the early afternoon.
Other places that look interesting for a snack or bite:
