Rome: Specific questions about Sunday no-reservation dinner options near Piazza dell'Esquilino, and Monday morning market/food shops near Termini

Hope somebody here might help me eat well this Sunday night within easy walking distance of Piazza dell'Esquilino. I know most of the usual suspects around there and have enjoyed a few before, but I don't want to make a reservation at one of the typically recommended places because I may sleep through dinner (jet lag) and I hate to stiff a restaurant. I am thinking of Urbana 47. Any hope of getting a table there (would be willing to eat quite early). What about Osteria della Subarra? All suggestions welcome, but I really would like to hit the bullseye on this one and not find myself either waiting in line or wandering from place to place being turned away if possible. Piizza would be okay if the atmosphere is not abrasive. Upscale is fine too. I understand that by foregoing a reservation I may not get the best food in the neighborhood. Just hoping to avoid swill. Will consider places where a reservation 30 mins in advance might work.

For Monday morning, I have a long train ride ahead of me so would like to shop for lunch to take on the train, but can't walk too far because I'll be dragging luggage. Would love recommendations for vendors close to Piazza dell'Esquilino or Termini -- or tips on which vendors inside Termini itself might have good food to take with me.

Thanks if you can provide help within the parameters...
