My husband and I are going on a cruise leaving out of Rome next month. We will be spending two days in Rome before the trip and two days there after as well.
Many of our friends have given us suggestions and I would love to hear your opinions on these restaurants. Are they still considered to be very good? Are there any specific dishes you recommend at any of these places?
- Roma Sparita
- Il Sanlorenzo
- All Oro
- Dal Bolognese
- Felice a Testaccio
- La Scala
- La Campana
- Taverna Trilussa
- Da Giggetto al Portico d'Ottavia
A little about us - we are young, coming from Los Angeles, frequent travelers and "foodies" (although we hate that word) who absolutely love pasta, seafood, and meat. We would love any other recommendations for for a spectacular traditional Roman trattoria and a few other "fine dining" or upscale restaurants. Alcohol is not important.
Many many thanks in advance. If you are ever in Los Angeles we would happily return the favor and make many suggestions for you all!
