Me and my friend will be travelling to Italy for 10 days (May 1st week) on a very tight budget. This is our 1st time in Italy (or to anywhere else for that matter), we have zero Italian between us and a very big ambition for our trip as you can see it in the subject line. We have some food specifications too. We both don't eat pork. I love wine but she hates it even in cooking. Any tips on what to eat and where to eat, when you have only a limited amount of money in your wallet and choosy palate? And it will also be helpful if someone could give me some essential Italy tips, and do's & dont's while we are there. Even though food is a main concern, our main purpose and priority is the art, architecture & culture. Of course the views comes without saying... right?!
