The recent thread on these related cuisines reminded me to follow up on an interesting ad I saw in the back of a Bulgarian guy's cab a few month's back for a place called "Chicago By Night." The ad featured what looked like a sports bar populated by dark-eyed waitresses from the Sofia Hooter's. The menu had chicken wings, fries and Bulgarian specialties. The photo and name made me wonder just what was going on there (also, the hours were basically all-night). This "Bulgarian Sports Bar" thing seems to be catching on. Cafe Florida near Lincoln Square seems to follow a similar pattern. Anyway, my quick research led to the below web site, which lists quite a few Bulgarian places in the city with addresses and other information. Anyone been?
