'Rocking' Santoku - What's Your Opinion?

I've been researching multi-purpose knives as I prepare to purchase my first high-end knife. I am amateur home cook who currently uses a Caphalon santoku for the majority of my prep work. I've decided upon the Miyabi Artisan (or Mizu) series, but I am struggling to decide between the traditional 7" santoku or the 'rocking' version. I've tried both in the store, but I'm looking for opinions from someone who has used a rocking santoku for an extended period of time. Is the rocking version too specialized for my go-to knife? Or is it the right blend of chopping/slicing with a subtle curve to enable rocking/chopping? I just don't want to regret spending $200 on a type of knife that I don't have much experience with using.
