Rock Salt for Duck Confit?

I'm going to make Duck Confit for the first time - and the recipe calls for a cure in rock salt. I've been to the grocery stores - and no rock salt. I realize it's the same salt you use for ice cream - but any ideas where I can find it? A hardware store? Can I just use kosher salt or course sea salt?
