Rocca's Market | San Martin

Last week I got out of southbound traffic in San Martin. I took the opportunity to check out Rocca's Market. Inside I found a lot of unique inventory for a small country store. Prime, dry-aged beef in the butcher case, housemade sausages, organic produce, big selection of Bourbons, local wines, and a large display of locally made food stuffs. If you're looking for food souvenirs of this part of the South Bay, this is the place.

I did buy some sausage to cook at home. The sweet Italian had less fennel than other brands do and a heavy dose of black pepper. The Big Bang was robust and heavily seasoned and set off a fire in the mouth. The grind was pretty fine on both and not much fat. I would probably not cook them down so much next time so they don't lose as much of the juices.
