The latest food buzz around SLO is about Novo (?), the soon-to-be-open restaurant in downtown SLO owned by the Robin's folks. It should be open within a week or two, from what I hear (though I must confess I am usually the last to know anything).
Rumor has it they have hired a pastry chef, shipped in someone from Montana to be in charge of breads, and have various other chefs, all extensively trained. Novo will offer regular meals (including faves from Robin's, such as the salmon bisque) as well as tapas. They will also have a take-out deli complete with espresso bar and scrumptious (hopefully) pastries.
Let's hope it will be tasty and fun!
