Roberta's Pizza at Madison Square Park Market

BluPlateSpec | Sep 26, 2010 06:15 PM

Roberta's Pizza from Brooklyn has opened a temporary shop at the Madison Square Park Market, at 26 street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue just north of the Flatiron Building. Stopped by today and had a margherita ($8.) and it was excellent. They bake it in their portable, wood fired oven. They also have a square slice, Working Man's Lunch for $5., also very good. I'd highly recommend a trip here just for the pizza if you're in town although there are other vendors including Resto, Pies 'n Thighs, Sigmund Pretzelshop, Breezy Hill Orchard, Almond, Fatty Crab, Fatty 'Cue, Bar Suzette and other food and non-food vendors. The new Eataly from across the street also has a stand here. It's a good and tasty way to avoid the Shake Shack endless queue for a change. The market's open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM. until October 23rd.
