We are hosting Thanksgiving for the first time for a group of 12 adults. I saw this post from Bon Appetit that suggested having a turkey and a turkey breast. I am thinking about ordering a 10-12 lb turkey and a 4-8 lb turkey breast. I like the idea of having leftover breast meat for sandwiches, but also extra breast meat in case people prefer more turkey breast than is on the whole turkey. There will also be a ham. Does this sound like enough? Also, I am not sure about the logistics of cooking them, if they will both fit in the oven together.
Thanks, CH!
