roasting pork loin- salt encrusted?

I recall being told by a chef several years back that a favorite no-hassle meal involved rolling a whole pork tenderloin in honey, covering it in rock salt, and broiling it. Is it that easy? Anyone tried this?

A web search turned up a recipe involving a wood-stoked pizza oven that was 700 degrees... not so helpful. Any suggestions?
