roasted tomatoes on the alice waters show last night

For anyone who is in the NJ area- I turned on NJN last night and they were doing a program on Alice Waters. As I tuned in she was just putting into the oven a terra cotta baking dish full of whole tomatoes. They came out looking terrific, like a roasted tomato sauce. Did anyone see what she had done to them before they went into the oven, or can anyone tell me what she said about it? I missed that part. I have a garden full of tomatoes but I'd like to double check on her recipe before I just throw them in there. I would suspect she used some salt and olive oil. Were they for jarring or just for over pasta?
