Roast meats, Berkeley or Oakland?

My oven's been broken, and isn't fixed yet. We've been eating foods that can be cooked in the broiler, or on top of the stove. I guess this weekend would be nice enough to add the Weber to the list, but we have tickets to a concert in Berkeley tomorrow night....

so I'd like to go out to dinner, somewhere to satisfy my craving for roast meats. A lovely chicken or duck would be just perfect.

Where do the Hounds recommend we end up for an early dinner? The concert is in South Berkeley, so North Oakland or Berkeley preferred. And of course it is last minute, so I am presuming we couldn't get into Chez Panisse Cafe on such short notice on a Saturday (and that is probably a bit more than we want to spend anyway, though thoughts of that wood oven tempt me t call and ask...).

I don't see much on Eccolo, but their menu includes a roast chicken.... comments? Other suggestions? I'm fairly open in terms of cuisine. Thanks!
