Roast lamb at Lulu... Thanksgiving too?

Joan Kureczka | Nov 25, 200411:45 AM

A few months back we switched our "Need a night out with a good glass of wine on short notice" place to Lulu, after finding the food much better than Bacar and the wine list excellent and interesting. We had always wanted to try some of the rotisserie dishes and with my Mother in town, took her there last night.

I must say the rotisserie roast lamb with tapenade, which is only available on Wednesday evenings is wonderful. Plentiful slices of nice pink flavorful lamb with plenty of Lulu's tapenade (which is one of the only two good commercial versions I've ever had), and served with wonderful creamy emergo beans. Yum.

I didn't look to see if they were also open today, Thanksgiving, but a special last night was rotisserie roasted turkey with a truffled bread dressing which looked very good. Based on the quality of the lamb, it might be a nice way to go for someone wanting Thanksgiving out as Lulu does offer lots of good veggie sides and everything is served on family style platters.
