I've had a lot of great roast chicken in my day (Pollo a la Brasa being a new fave), but my favorite has to be at a little place called Le Petit Jardin (on the east side of Robertson, just south of Pico.) It's a flower shop and a restaurant and is absolutely adorable. The chef was trained in a French restaurant (I forgot which one) and his roast chicken is simply outstanding, a perfectly crisp, herbed skin, juicy and flavorable meat, served with buttery green beans and thin brasserie french fries. I implore you to go there and try it. I have no affiliation with the restaurant, other than being an ardent fan. I promise you you won't be disappointed.
Le Petit Jardin also happens to have great escargots, incredible bread pudding and one of the best burgers in LA. (I realize how bold a suggestion that is, given In N Out, Father's Office, Cassell's, etc., but you really have to try it). It's also very reasonably priced and is a BYOW situation, which adds even more to the discount.
Any other roast chicken favorites out there?
