What a wonderful place! My daughter is on a temporary assignment working in Roanoke and has been complaining about the lack of decent places to eat here other than chains.
Today I went out exploring and found this food court loaded with small restaurants with many ethnic varieties--Cuban sandwiches, Greek, sushi, seafood, Vietnamese, Thai, pizza, bbq, fresh ground burgers, Philly cheesesteaks sand., ice cream and homemade desserts and many others.
One lady told me there recommended the black bean and chicken soups at the Cuban place and also a 7th Day Adventist vegetarian restaurant within easy walking distance. She said there are several other small restaurants nearby worth trying also.
This is a place to be explored at very reasonable prices. I had the Cuban sandwich (because this is something I can't find in MN) with salad and a large cup of Cuban coffee with milk for $5. I was tempted by Vietnamese Lemon Grass soup $2.50, 10 spicy shrimp with veggies $4.99, and falafel sandwiches for $4. The sushi looked good also.
The restaurant court seems to be open only Monday-Saturday until 5 or 6 pm.
