There are times when Zoe and SO roam east of Westwood Blvd. and even to farther reaches of LA and today was one of those days. Out to Norwalk to the County Recorder's office. Hunger hit well before noon - its the slow walk along the 91 that does it and then we happened into an intense Korean restaurant area - along Norwalk Blvd. We happened upon:
Oldtime Noodles (562-404-8886)
16440 Norwalk Blvd.
They have homemade noodles and ten different kinds of soup (you can watch the noodle maker through the glass window). Had Soup with 10 dumplings and SO had the house speciality, chicken with noodles. They also had two cold soups but there was no Korean translation. The rest were Anchovy with noodles; clams with noodles, seafood with noodles, whole spicy chicken with noodles (two guys were sharing this). Huge portions, $6.95 with some little dishes and barley tea.
The place was jammed. Its 5.45 pm and I'm still not hungry (well tonight's pizza night with the gang to watch '24').
