Went there for dinner last night--what an unexpected place. Upscale place on the water in LIC with a great view of the Manhattan skyline and the river (it's in one of those new building near the Pepsi-Cola sign). Hard to describe the food other than to tell you exactly what we had. I had a venison endive salad in a chorizo sauce (whatever that is) that we great. Partner had cauliflower "risotto"--which was rice-shaped cauliflower and delicious with some amazing citrus and possibly fennel sauce (couldn't quite figure out the sauce, other than to say we liked it). Appetizers were about $10 to $15.
Dinner for me was foie gras-stuffed John Dory wrapped in filo with some amazing ginger something sauce. Partner had some other fish dish that was great too, but i was in heaven with mine so I don't remember exactly what it was. Entrees were around $20 to $30.
Place was empty except for four other tables, though; maybe just a slow night, but this place is romantic, delicious, and has a nice decor.
One of the owners was there and was very chatty. They had a brochure that we took and it gave us a good laugh--very strange photographs including one of a waiter in a santa outfit placing food on a table (you only see his santa arm). Anyway, maybe they need a little marketing help.
