River Park disappoints

foodwhisperer | Jan 21, 201102:28 PM

RIver Park is a Tom Colicchio restaurant, so I expected more. The location is kind of cool, hidden behind an office building by Bellvue Hospital off the FDR drive.
It is a big room and I'm sure it was costly to renovate. The dishes were not too good.
The tortellini floating in some beef broth were barely cooked, had to send back. The short rib ravioli was in same broth as the tortellini, not anything special. The rack of lamb only had 2 lamb chops that were fatty. The only good thing was the steak tartare with sea urchin, that was tasty. No desserts seemed worth trying. Big name mediocre food at best.
