River North - Omnivore + Vegetarian friendly?

RichInMV | Feb 3, 201709:00 AM

I'm a fairly frequent traveler to Chicago (from SF) and will be there in a couple of weeks. I've been to MANY Chicago restaurants over the past 10+ years, and some of my favorites include The Gage, GT Fish & Oyster, Bavette's, Naha, Sumi Robata, Avec, Xoco, Publican, and so on...

I have a dinner schedule with a vegetarian friend, so wanted to see if there are any good places we can both enjoy, and that have opened within the couple of years (I've been there less frequently in the past couple of years, so my knowledge is getting outdated!).

I'd like to keep this focused on River North, but would also consider River West or inside the Loop too.

I know of most of the historically favorite restaurants, so looking for the newer entries that I may not be aware of these days. Thanks!

The Gage,
GT Fish & Oyster,
Bavette's Bar & Boeuf,
avec Restaurant,
XOCO,
The Publican
