Ristorante San Marco

Thanks Chowhounds for this lead. My friend and I dined at San Marco last night and had a divine meal and superb service. It's one that reminds me of those in the great cities of Italy. I loved my grilled (v. tender) calamari and radicchio, followed by grilled veal with herbs and lemon. My friend had arugula salad with shaved parmesan and the excellent dover sole which was presented whole and filleted at the table. The wines by the glass were great and desserts of fruit sorbets very fresh tasting esp the lemon. Fabulously strong expresso and an after dinner boost of Amara ended our very pleasant and leisurely dinner. One word of caution: the portions are large. I was sated with only half of each of my courses. San Marco is on Bethlehem Pike in Springhouse, a little north of Butler Pike and Ambler.
