'Riserva' prosciutto at La Ciccia

susancinsf | Aug 4, 200812:04 PM

Had dinner at La Ciccia last night, and I was so happy to discover that the 18 month aged prosciutto that I mention in this post:

is back on the menu, at least temporarily, as a special, and pig lovers really should get over there to try it. A huge portion, this time enhanced with a few pieces of salami as well, but somehow I managed to finish it (with a little help from hubby)...definitely enough for two or even more persons as an appetizer. Not to be missed, imo. I mean, that stuff is rolling your eyes back in your head good...

Cured meat fans should also take note that the pizza special of the night last night was topped with house-made sopresata, though my other favorite dish of the evening was the side vegetable: fresh peas, in a sauce with mint and onion. simple and delicious.
