I promised my kid we'd make banana bread today, but the bananas aren't ripe enough. They're just starting to get some little brown dots on skin. Murphy's Law of bananas, I guess - when I want a banana they're always too ripe for me, and now that I need them, they're taking forever to ripen.
Is there a way to speed this up? Putting them in the fridge or a bag or something? Obviously, I don't just want to get the skin brown, I want the banana itself to be sweet and shmushy.
