R.I.P Joe's Pizza

Had what tasted like the death knell for Joe's Pizza yesterday; a slice that could've come from some awful mini-mall in Orange County, Ca. I mourned the closing of the corner location on Bleecker and noticed some change in crew and quality when we were relegated to the other spot up Sixth Ave. At this point they should just face the music and get out. The pizza has become awful. They are still part of various tours which are based on old info as to where the best slice is, the crowds are still clogging it on week-ends.A tour guide told me he built his tour around Joe's and would now have to begin it elsewhere, as he looks like an idiot waxing poetic about pizza which is now worse than what the tourists can get back in Omaha. I really think the slices at one of the imitation Ray's around the city have more taste.
