Finally got to enjoy this new restaurant. Yes, food was great but they do have some problems to work out. We had reservations for 7:30 but arrived around 6:30 to enjoy the atmosphere of the bar and have a drink. Our wait person was not familar with the wine list and each wine I asked about he kept saying "well it's just in what you like". I was asking about a really dry crisp white wine to have before our dinner. Finally he asked the bartendar and a nice wine was delivered. Service was not what I expected during dinner It was slow and choppy. They kept apologizing for the lack of service and admitted to having problems. I had the lobster bisque which was just okay. We had the calamari for the table which was excellent. Two people had the wedge salad which was also good. For an entree I had the Hawaiian Opah and it too was excellent. Others had the sea bass, salmon the the veal chop. All entrees were exceptional. For dessert we shared the chocolate molten cake. We ordered a bottle of really good red wine, a pinot noir priced around $240. After waiting for the wine to arrive (20 minutes) they came to take our order. When we inquired about the wine they said it was not available and they were going to suggest something else. We told them we would like to see the wine list again and choose our on wine. As we were deciding someone came over and said if we would pick a wine similar in price they would comp it. So, how can you be critical when they offer to do that. We choice an Opus One 2004 which was a very good wine. Although service was not what it should be they realize this and I believe it will be a priority. I will definitely go back here and soon. The bar area was busy and I think this is going to be a great addition to the Ft. Lauderdale upscale dining scene. Give this restaurant a few more weeks to work out the problems and it will be the place to be.
