After shopping at the Sunday morning Channel Islands farmers market in July 2019, I stopped by Rico Tejuino Los Reyes #4. This is a small local chain offering fermented tejuino, handmade Mexican-style ice creams, and snacks.
I had a taste of the strawberry nieves de leche. Made in small batches (a la garrafa) in the traditional way, this was icy and refreshing with a minimal amount of added sugar for a very natural flavor impression. I bought a medium size tejuino topped with nieve de limon to sip on the road.
