Rickshaw Dumpling Truck in Park Slope

My husband and I finally got dumplings from the Rickshaw Dumpling truck, which has been parked in various spots on 7th Avenue the past few weekends. We tried all three kinds -- vegetarian, pork and thai chicken basil. Unfortunately, they were all terrible. Incredibly bland, with dipping sauces that did nothing to help them out. The least worst was the thai chicken basil, mainly due to the fact that the dipping sauce (the only thick sauce) was marginally tasty. The pork dumplings (usually my favorite dumpling) were tasteless and the dipping sauce did nothing to help matters and the worst of the bunch were the vegetable ones which not only were bland but somehow slightly nausea inducing. The worst part is that they weren't cheap. Call me frugal, but I feel that one of the joys of good street food is that it shouldn't cost as much as anything you get from a restaurant or storefront. My husband bought them, but I am fairly certain they cost about $1 a dumpling. Sorry to leave such a bleak review, but in case you were curious/excited like I was, avoid.
