Rickey's, Novato

Does anyone have a review of Rickey's? In a thread below (entitled Meetinghouse biscuits), Gary Soup mentions that Joanna Karlinsky is cooking here.

FWIW, an email I just shot off to a friend:

Have you been to Rickey's Restaurant? I just realized (through Chowhound) that it's where Joanna Karlinsky (of Meetinghouse, Hotel Utah) landed. I have mixed thoughts on that, as I loved her food at those 2 restaurants, but was really soured by her parting shot at us diners for not having supported her restaurant enough ...

Here's the quote from LA times from 2003:

"She said she will never forget the highs — trips to the farmers market for fresh vegetables, the rush of being paid to cook for others. But Karlinsky can't shake the feeling that San Francisco let her down, that, unlike New Yorkers after 9/11, her customers didn't try hard enough to see their favorite restaurant through the hard times.

So she fired a parting shot. On the window of her now-defunct Meetinghouse remains a green-inked message: 'Thanks for your patronage. Now get used to bad service wherever else you go.'"
