Boka strikes again!
Adding to their tasty Tako empire, Boka's latest expansion adds growlers and fresh mix & match 6 packs with beer from dozens of local and regional microbreweries, along with inventive, original cuisine sourcing local purveyors, but not forgetting the tried and true staples that have made Boka a household name in Richmond.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with tables and booths available.
Today I tried:
"The Gauntlet" - Three of their most popular tacos - Beef Asian, Chicken Mexican and Pork American
- The contrasting flavors here make this a trio that always pleases. Different meats, sauces, textures, and flavor profiles send your palette all over the place, but always culminating at the intersection of deliciousness.
"The Gaucho"- Braised brisket, white cheddar, chimichurri, garlic aioli, crispy potato, on grilled ciabatta.
- Without question one of the best sandwiches I've had. The beef was succulent and perfectly seasoned. The chimichurri blended beautifully with the garlic aioli and the crunch of the ciabatta for a more than pleasurable sandwich.
There's a reason why this company keeps producing winner after winner - expanding well past its origins as a sole food truck - and that reason can be found on the plate at Boka Grill & Growlers.
