Richmond: Rincon Latino Kitchen - consume de chivo ... the finest $2.50 meal ever

I actually came home to post this because it is a special today. However, I need to leave fast for a meeting elsewhere

For $2.50 (small bowl) there is a lovely, thin broth with hints of smoke, tomato and black pepper. On the bottom lots of rice and delicious, chewy hominy. Squirt some lime, add the fresh chopped cilantro and onions ... and you have something.

There are even a half dozen small hot tortillas with the order.

The chivo taco is good too ... the goat tender and not fatty. It comes with a creamy red hot sauce ... HOWEVER ... once you add it that is all that you will taste ... really strong ... so be warned.

Very nice pineapple aqua fresca too with lots of bits of pineaple and not sweet at all, just pure pineapple flavor.

Thanks to Gordon Wing for mentioning this place. Sorry Gordon, gotta run ... will link to your report later.
