Rice In The Pressure Cooker-A Revelation And The Zojirushi Is Going Back!

So I finally got the guts up to use my Fagor pressure cooker for the first time. I don't know why, but I've been terrified to use it. Could be thoughts of the contents exploding all over my kitchen and getting knocked out by the flying lid and then my dogs would eat me.
I don't know.
I've also recently bought a Zojirushi rice cooker from Costco, and my brown rices have turned out horribly. I nearly gave up on the healtheir option of brown rices and gone back to Uncle Ben's boil in bags!
The directions on my organic basmati rice called for cooking for 20-25 minutes on the stove top, so I cut it in half and cooked in the PC for 10 minutes.
The rice turned out a bit moist, but otherwise it was al dente and a real revelation compared to my prior efforts cooking stove top, rice cooker and steamer.
Yay!
I'm on a PC kick now. I'm like Julia...no fear!
