Hi all. Finally broke down and got a fancy fuzzy logic rice cooker. I was skeptical whether or not the rice it made would be much better than the $30 rice cooker that I've used for years.....and it is better! The rice it makes is fantastic.
I am one of those people, though, that gets a little wary of eating cooked food that has been lying around for more than 3 hours or so. The rice cooker has an extended keep warm function for keeping the rice warm for 12 hours or longer! I am a little wierded out by this.
Does anyone know what the story is with food-borne illness in rice that has been sitting around this long?
