Just back from a weekend trip to the CIA staying in Rhinebeck-here are some of my opinions about it all.
As for the CIA class it was fun but not as fun as previously-more structured,no wine with lunch-maybe it is chef dependent?
We stayed st the Delamater Innn part of the Beekman arms. It was a well located Comfort Inn pretty disappointing. The room was large enough but sort of shabby.
As to the chow we had dinner Friday night at Gigi. We started with the calamari and then I had the Bianca skizza and my friend the pasta with sausaage and spicy red sauce. All was good as was the service and the room.. Eclectic crowd too.
Dinner on Saturday was at Village pizza good pizza with eggplaant and real mushrooms and texcellent service . The bestg in a long time locartion no withstanding. BreakfaST ON sUNDAY WAS at Billie's faMILY REstaurant in Red Hook . Great Banana pancakes with real maple syrup. WE finished up the trip with a stop at the Rhinebeck farmers market good prices nice selection. I will definitely make it back.
