Sign on the door says they're open for business this Friday at 6 PM. Peering in, they seem to be fully functional; appeared to be hosting a private gathering. Nice looking room, with tables, counter, and bar.
Finally got into Tacubaya for sopes, one each of papas y chorizo, and picadillo. Guess I liked the former better, not least because it was liberally dosed with pickled jalapeno. They were rendered more savory by watching the cook making fresh sopes by hand in front of me. In spite of all the posters who have noted the small size of the dishes, I found these entirely adequate, and might have made a decent meal of one sope and a bowl of soup. Six thumbs up.
