Came to Seattle for work and pleasure for 6 days and found the eating to be fabulous. Using information from this board we tried these places. I will begin with the most fabulous.
The Harvest Vine. Do what ever you can to eat here. We went at 4:30pm on a Saturday. People line up at 4:00 when the doors open. Why? Because the food is perfect. Salt Cod stuffed Peppers, Chantrelles with egg, Fresh Anchovies, Basque Cheeses, Tuna and Roe all perfect. Don't miss this place.
Le Pichet. Great French Bistro food. Gratin Lyonaisse, Baguette Sandwichs, Merguez, Great bottle of Chinon. Very authentic I presume.
Sazerac. This place deserves more buzz. Anything that comes out of thier oven is fab. Mussel roasted on Cast iron pan were done to perfection. Grits, Catfish Ribs all top drawer.
Cafe Campagne. Very nice Bistro food. Great Pate. Good Steak Frite, Very nice room. Still my favorite place on a fall day.
Buco de Beppo: Once you get by the overly friendly staff this place is pretty good. Need to go with family or friends to have real experince but the food is great. What a Surprise.
Also, Le Panier in Pikes Place, great french breads and pastries. Emmett Watsons, Good fish and chips and Tini Biggs great place to hang out but bring money or expense account.
Place for next trip, Matt's, Le Spiga, Stumbling Goat, Salumi...............
