Review: Turkish Grill and french fries

I went to Turkish Grill last night, on Bleecker (or is it Bleeker?) just west of MacDougal, and it was very good. I got the Kofte (ground spiced lamb patties) platter which came with pide bread and salad and french fries. The meat was delicious -- erring more on the greasy side than the dry, but juicy and perfectly grilled. The french fries were really amazing though -- fried fresh for us, matchstick fries. Really a perfect french fry. I've also gotten their taramasalata (very good, if not quite as tangy as Intl. grocery) and a white bean salad called Piyaz. I highly recommend this place for good cheap takeout.
