Well, I just got back from my evening dinner at Max's. Where to start, I walk in at 6:30 and its empty they said the reservations all start piling in about an hour from then so I had the place to myself, the way I prefer when dining alone. I started off with a glass of red wine and was greeted with some nice bread at my table. The appetizer I chose was Lumpia (a phillipino style egg roll) very light, it was good but I wouldn't order it again. I then had to try this famous risotta with duck, it arrives steaming hot with shaved pieces of cheese on top, it was wonderful and I thank the board for the suggestion. I couldn't resist dessert when I saw this creation listed as a brownie over bread pudding, quite tasty but small. My bill with tip was $50.00
