Review for Marlowe

Thanks to all for your advice on eating well at this restaurant. I looked online for a website and they have one. Very few items interested me, except for the Chicken Kiev, and one or two other dishes.

At the restaurant, we were seated in the back room behind the "dance floor". The music was loud to start with, but then around 10 pm, the dj began to set up. I could feel a speaker right near our table. It became pretty impossible to have a conversation with the person sitting across from me or someone 2 seats down.

I ordered the chicken kiev, a friend ordered the wild mushroom rigatoni. The chicken came with wild rice, zuchinni (Sp), and snow peas. Someone else ordered the same thing, but while her plate had a lot of vegetables, I had 4-5 slices of zuchinni and a couple snow peas. Cutting into the chicken, the chive butter poured out onto the rice, presenting a sauce for the rice. The portion was not too large, but seemed just right for a single person.

The mushroom rigatoni was really good. Excellent flavour and a really good amount of mushrooms in a cream sauce.

The worst part of the evening was the incredibly loud music. Service was a bit slow in taking our orders, and when a waitress appeared to deliver a drink, she disappeared faster than we could ask her for some water ourselves.

Not the best and not the worst place I've ever had dinner.

thanks again!
