Review-Le Provencal

9 of us went for dinner this past Saturday. Included in that 9 were my 3 year old,12 and 9 year olds. We had a great round corner table and there was a high chair waiting for us at the table. I can't say enough about out service, was outstanding. Most of the table had the mussel app and I had the Arrugula salad with Serrano ham and honey goat cheese bruschetta. There was too much arrugula and not enough dressing. My 12 year old had the wild mushroom soup and it was great.

For dinner I had the Slow roasted Long Island duckling with dried apricots and thyme. Something that I would normally not ever order and I have only had duck 1x in my life when I was 15. I wanted to try something new and I am glad I did, it was so good and a huge portion. My husband had the steak au poivre and said it was not peppery enough but I am sure it was fine for the normal person (haha) he really like pepper. Everyone was happy with their dinners and my mom said the skate was delicious.

We all had dessert and had:
Profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream
Chocolate pot-de-crème with whipped cream and fresh fruits
Dutch apple pie with vanilla ice cream
Lemon tart with raspberry coulis

We had an early reservation at 6 and like 45 minutes later the place was packed and there were no empty tables. We were the only table with kids in the place. I totally agree that it is kid friendly IF YOUR KIDS BEHAVE. The woman at the table next to us remarked to my mom how well behavied they were. There is a kids menu with things like
chicken nuggets- pasta with a few choices of sauce-steak-mussels etc. The prices on the kids menu are pricey at $11.50 for chicken nuggets.
