Reuben's Deli report

Morganna | Oct 1, 2008 06:20 AM

Ate lunch there because it was near the cinema we were going to and we were hungry. I got a reuben and my husband got smoked meat, salami, and chicken on a kaisar with poppy seeds. :) Both were HUGE and yummy. They came with a vast serving of fries, slaw, and a pickle. Normally I love pickles and slaw but for some reason these didn't taste quite right to me, but that might have been me. The fries were exactly how I like them, crisp, hot, salty. :) The sandwich was piled high with meat and it tasted really good. I had to take half with me and eat it later (turned out to be a good thing, I was hungry later). My husband ate all his fries so he didn't have room for more than two bites of sandwich, so he took all of his for later, too. (we have small stomachs)

All in all, the food was good, the decor what I would call "upscale" and the prices were probably reasonable for the area, but seemed high to me because I'm a country bumpkin visiting in the big city. ;) Lunch was $26 (sans tip). We only paid $15 for dinner the night before at Shahi Palace. ;) But I was still pleased with the meal. :)
