Just returned from Uncle Frank's in Mtn View

Hi all

I gave Uncle Frank's a call at 8:40 this evening, they said they are trying to close at 8 but to come on in anyways. The trick is to know that you need to walk through Francesca's bar to the back room.

We had a fabulous meal consisting of the Supreme Combo and the Catfish n' fries. The brisket was SOOOO good, with just the right amount of fat left. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. It was the best BBQ I have ever eaten! The fries and catfish were also excellent. The fries were super well-done crispy. The catfish was crispy on the outside, tender juicy on the inside.

Uncle Frank and his partner said they are officially planning to open at the end of the month, but people "in the know" would receive a warm welcome now. They will also be adding to their menu. They mentioned Cajun items like jambalya, ettouffee and fried chicken. Let me just say, if the fried chicken is anything like the fried catfish, I will be eating alot of it!
