The Return of Hunan's Restaurant a.k.a. Hunan Style Restaurant in San Gabriel

Many of you remember a couple of years ago when the building in Alhambra housing the restaurant called Hunan's Restaurant on the outside signage but Hunan Style Restaurant on the inside, blew up. Shortly thereafter the proprietors were traced to a new restaurant called Hunan Seafood in Rosemead where they have been operating since. Several months ago a banner appeared in the old Red Ant Cafe space on Valley Bl. in San Gabriel announcing that Hunan's Seafood was coming soon, but the banner subsequently came down and it appeared that the space was remaining vacant. Consequently it was a bit of a surprise to see Hunan's Restaurant (outside sign) a.k.a. Hunan Style Restaurant (inside paraphernalia) up and running. Not being particularly fond of Hunan style cooking I can't comment on the fare, though their Hunan fish head is at the top of their specialties list. I'll let the followers of Hunan cuisine evaluate the food, though it seems like it should be the same as the old Alhambra location. Street address is 529 E. Valley Bl., #108A.
