Return to Gaucho's Village

First time I've been since they moved to the new location farther up Brand. Gorgeous space. Ceiling is a miracle of bent wood, with four huge skylights. (Why don't people ever look UP?) Imagine if Frank Lloyd Wright had built Noah's Ark.

Of the meats at lunch, I liked the spicy chicken thigh the most. If you leave that crispy bit of skin on your plate, you'll surely regret it. There was also one cut of beef served rare that I liked. The others were "well done." (Total misnomer)

From the salad bar, I like the lemony cabbage salad with bits of cilantro and onion. And of course those infernally addictive cheese rolls. On my fourth one, I started thinking, "If loving you is wrong, I don't want to be right..."

Stan Getz in the background is obligatory, but I still give bonus points for that.
