The gal made it sound like it will be the same restaurant that graced 30th Street in Newport Beach back in the - what - '80's.
The gal was describing the OC Pavilion [theater] in Santa Ana and said the restaurant on it's second floor will be "the return of Ambrosia." If I remember correctly, that was the best restaurant in Newport Beach.
Could it be? I don't see how they could or would replicate after 25 years. But, French cuisine . . .
Anyway, it opens the first week in October (10-5). Opening night is a package deal with theater tickets, cost is above $1,500 and includes a five or seven course tasting menu. I think the concert is a classic rock band, Earth, Wind and Fire. There were only 8 left on Sunday.

Incredible. I guess y'all heard about this in July, huh?
I hope they have the same Oysters Rockefeller I remember.
